As soon as you believe you are in labour, you can contact me. I will make
my way down to your home or hospital ( dependant on required service). I
provide Entonox (gas&air), for pain relief and oxygen. I also provide vitamin
k for your baby and syntometrin to help with the third stage of labour if
required.

Antenatal visits consist of one to one care and advice in your own home. .
I visit for as long as is necessary, there are no time limits and because I visit
you in your own home at a time that suits you there is no added stress. I will
do the same routine checks on all my visits and advise of any concerns that
may arise. This is the time when you can also air any concerns you have and
advise of any requirements you have. During the last two antenatal visits I will
introduce the second midwife that will be assisting me in your delivery, just so
that you are familiar with her.

I will provide postnatal care up to 28 days after birth if necessary. All being
well you can be discharged after about 10 days. On the postnatal visits I
will assess both you and the baby and make sure everything is returning to
normal. I am hear to support and advise you, so please ensure that all your
concerns are aired. I can also assist you in the following: Bathing of baby,
Nappy changing, Sterilisation of bottles and feeds, and also Breast Feeding.
